Treasurer- Non Voting Board Positon

The Treasurer shall monitor and report all financial matters, specific to the requirements as dictated in the USA Rollers Sports financial procedures manual, to the Board of Directors and perform all of the duties incident to the office of Treasurer and such other duties as from time to time that may be assigned by the President or by the Board of Directors.

Grass Roots Position

Be a current and a minimum 3-year continuous member of USARS; 2. Possess overall knowledge and experience of the technical aspects for the sport, including, but not limited to, competitive roller sports, coaching, various official assignments and administrative experience as a club officer; 3. Be actively involved in USARS programs; 4. Contribute significantly to the advancement of roller sports; 5. Agree in writing to abide by USARS Code of Ethics; and 6. Submit a resume and application for a board seat.

Clubs Representative

Be a USA Roller Sports Club Officer for a minimum of five years.  2. Be an officer in a league, state or regional association for a minimum of three years.  3. Be a current USA Roller Sports member in good standing  4. Be actively involved in USA Roller Sports programs.  5. Contribute significantly to the advancement of the roller skating sport. 

After the application deadline, applicants will be narrowed down to two candidates, then a voting ballot will be emailed to each current USARS club in goodstanding (Club President) they will have 45 days to submit the vote.

Due to the required application timeline and required voting timeline the club representative will not be confirmed at the Fall board. That position will be confirmed after the required timelines have expired.


Rink Hockey Athlete

Eligibility and Procedure. Only current USARS members, who have attained 18 years of age or older and who either meet the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee definition of an active athlete

and/or who have competed in roller sports in the Olympics, Pan American Games, Senior World Championships or other Senior International Elite Level Competitions within the immediately preceding ten years may apply for and qualify for nomination for a Board seat. The ten-year qualification period for nomination must be met by the athlete as of the date of the annual meeting at the close of which the director to be elected will take office.

After the application deadline, applicants will be narrowed down to two candidates, then a voting ballot will be emailed to each qualifed athlete, they will have 45 days to submit the vote.

Speed Skating Athlete

Sport committees have the responsibility of monitoring, evaluating, and recommending changes or improvements to the curriculum of the competitive program including, but not limited to, skating requirements, divisional eligibility, establishing sport-specific standards, and creating/managing seminar and training programs.

Only current USARS members, who have attained 18 years of age or older and are actively engaged in athletic competition in Roller Sports or who have represented the United States in an international athletic competition in Roller Sports within the preceding ten (10) years,

Charged with evaluating and recommending applications received from USARS Advanced Coaches who seek Elite Coaching status. Must be an elite coach to apply.

May have open positions if those currently serving do not wish to remain on committee

Sets the annual budget subject to modification and approval of the Board of Directors or by the Executive Committee as designated by the Board of Directors and shall review the monthly and annual statements of the organization, while making appropriate decisions regarding financial matters, investments, best practices and initial review of bids for expenses across the organization.

Oversee all administrative grievances, eligibility, right to compete matters, and matters of ethical impropriety filed with USARS and possibly SafeSport. The compliance committee is also tasked with issuing discipline sanctions as needed.

Oversees the Star Skate Development program and other Grassroots skating programs.

Reviews and recommends individuals nominated for the Hall of Fame and other awards/honors bestowed by USA Roller Sports.
