The Dark River Derby Coalition vs. The McLean County MissFits All-Stars

The Dark River Derby Coalition hosted The MissFits for their second home bout of the season to a capacity crowd and Steampunk in the air. There were petticoats, bustles, ruffle bitts, gears, and plenty of smash mouth Roller Derby action! The teams were very evenly matched defensively and offensively which proved for exciting and rough-and-tumble play. At the half the DRDC had the advantage over the All-Stars 45-40. The second half was filled with the same electricity times 1000 as both teams battled relentlessly; many jams were called before any points could be scored due to the intelligent defensive and offensive play by both teams. When it was all said and done, the All-Stars broke free and brought home a victory over the DRDC 134-85. These teams are as friendly and supportive of one another as any teams could be so the entire event was filled with great action and, above all, mutual Derby Love and respect.
