Heads May Roll

On May 26^th, 2012 the Electric City Roller GrRrlz of Great Falls Montana, hosted Montana’s first international Roller Derby Bout. The Dethbridge Derby Dames of Lethbridge Roller Derby Guild out of Alberta Canada crossed over into international territory for a night of hard hits and fast skating. A crowd within about thousand was definitely not disappointed with the action of this match-up. Electric City Roller Grrrlz were able to maintain a small lead throughout the evening until the last quarter of the second half when the Dames were able to take advantage of the Grrrlz accumulating penalties and ended up with the win over the Grrrlz  142-124. It may have been the first international bout in the state but guaranteed it will not be the last.
