Hellbilly Heartbreakers Lock Up The Lunachicks With A Decisive 279 to 192

On Saturday, May 11, 2013 Enchanted Mountain Roller Derby’s Hellbilly Heartbreakers based out of Olean, NY took on the Finger Lakes Lunachicks from Geneva, NY. The bout was a hard fought one with plenty of action and hard hits. While the Hellbillies seemed to dominate throughout the bout, the Lunachicks never gave up. Big scores were put up by Dali D. and Linda McMayhem of the Hellbillies including a 35-0 jam by Dali D., a new league record. While the halftime score didn’t seem to reflect the Lunachicks determination at 171 to 90 in favor of the Hellbillies, the Lunachicks continued to dig deep and fight hard for their points almost keeping it even in the second half scoring 102 to the Hellbillies’ 108. Unfortunately it was not enough to surmount the Hellbillies lead ending the bout at 279 to 192. The Hellbillies clinched their second home win of the season and hope to continue on with their undefeated season.
